Q: Why would God want his people to be divided up into different denominations and churches?
A: Why would God want his people to be divided up into counties, states, countries, neighborhoods, schools, various employers, races, cultures, etc. etc. ? I suggest perhaps He doesn't care about boundaries drawn by men? That being a child of God transcends the boundaries of men.
